1. How do I register my child?

You may register your child conveniently by visiting our online registration page at olvsoccer.com

2. When is registration for the Fall Soccer season?

Registration for the OLV Fall Soccer season will begin in May and continue until the beginning of June. Late registrants will be handled on a case-by-case situation.

3. What are the registration fees?

Registration fees for this season will be $55.00 for Clinic level, $95.00 for Intermediate level, and $95.00 for the Travel teams.

4. What payments does the OLV Soccer Program accept?

Registration fees may be paid online using your MC or Visa card, as well as cash and checks delivered to the parish office.

5. What does the registration fee cover?

Registration fees cover the cost of your child’s uniform shirt, shorts and socks, as well as referee fees and field usage fees, Paint, Goals, Nets, Flags, Game ball.

6. What equipment does my son or daughter need to play soccer?

For their safety, your son or daughter needs to have shin guards and the Clinic and Intermediate levels are strongly encouraged to wear soccer cleats. Soccer cleats are mandatory for all Travel team players.

7. What is the age group cut off date?

A player’s age group eligibility is determined by their age as of July 31 of that current season. The Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program governs the CYO Travel League and enforces all eligibility issues.

8. How long does the season run?

Practices for U10, U12, and U14 Travel teams typically begin in early August with games beginning in early September and running through the middle of November. Clinic and Intermediate teams will begin practice in early August and will also play through the middle of November.

9. When are practices held and games played?

Most teams typically practice two (2) times a week until their games begin in September, at which time they will begin to hold only one weekly practice and have one game on the weekend. Clinic and Intermediate level games are played typically played on Saturday mornings. Boys travel games are played on Saturdays and Girls’ travel games are played on Sundays after 1 p.m. Our Lady of Victory Soccer does not practice nor play games on Sunday mornings.

10. Where will Clinic and Intermediate practices and games be held?

OLV Soccer program utilizes local school athletic fields in and around the Arbutus, MD area for the Clinic and Intermediate level games and practices. Relay Elementary School, Halethorpe Elementary, Arbutus Elementary School, Arbutus Middle School, Riverview Elementary School Fields.

11. Where do the U10, U12, and U14 travel teams play their games?

The OLV Travel teams will play their home games at a local school athletic field in the Arbutus, MD area. Away games may be played at any Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program location throughout the Baltimore area. These locations are generally no more than a thirty (30) minutes drive from our home location in Arbutus, MD.

12. How does my child be placed on a team?

Clinic and Intermediate teams will utilize several evaluation dates to view and work on basic soccer skills with all players. After these evaluation dates, all coaches and level managers will choose teams in a manner that allows for the most fair and balanced teams.
